positive, service based approach

Our positive, service-based approach to hazardous area compliance means that we go out of our way to supporting our customers in ensuring that their plant is safe and conforms to regulatory requirements.

Our Ex-Online inspection and dossier tool facilitates more efficient time in the field and eliminates re-handling of data. The secure online dossier complies with the requirements of IEC 60097 and ISO/EN 80079 and provides a host of benefits over traditional paper and electronic systems including presentation of a comprehensive electronic Hazardous Area Dossier.

Mondial Engineering Range of Inspections

During Construction

QA/QC Inspection: Mondial Engineering can provide qualified, efficient inspectors to support existing campaigns or can create and execute complete project electrical Inspection & Test Plans.

FAT: Our thorough FAT Inspections ensure that equipment is delivered according to the appropriate standards and specifications.

Prior to plant Energisation

EEHA and MEHA Initial Inspection: All new hazardous area electrical installations must be inspected at a detailed grade in accordance with IEC 60079-14. The inspection is performed prior to energisation following the completion of the installation. Its purpose is to verify that the equipment is installed as per the design documentation and has not been damaged in any way during the installation.

  • Initial Inspection Report

  • Electronic Hazardous Area Dossier

  • Suitable for ongoing operational statutory compliance.

Maintaining Statutory Compliance During Operations

EEHA and MEHA compliance regimes often expend excessive resources in the maintenance and inspection of many low risk items, whilst higher risk items for example those in harsh environments or otherwise more prone to damage receive no additional attention.

Mondial Engineering optimise EEHA and MEHA inspection regimes by working with our customers to identify and address any issues surrounding inspection types, grades or frequencies. This risk-based approach coupled with our powerful, efficient and award-winning Ex-Online inspection and dossier tool enables us to deliver considerable savings and optimised, high quality results.

Visual Inspection: This is the lowest grade of inspection and covers externally visible physical aspects of the equipment only.

Close Inspection: This grade of inspection covers all the aspects of a visual inspection and includes checks for appropriate certification of equipment and suitability for the zone. Tools may be used to check tightness of glands, fasteners etc, but equipment is not opened. This grade of inspection can be conducted with the equipment energised.

Detailed Inspection: This grade of inspection covers all the aspects of a close inspection but also includes the internal equipment components. It requires the equipment to be deenergised and isolated.
